Spring in the Grassland Garden

As much as I can, I love spending an hour or two on Thursday evenings working in the Grassland Garden at Ninos Parkway. We are a lovely group of volunteers who enjoy weeding, mulching, and bee watching. Plus there is sometimes a great sunset at the end! The garden was installed in December of 2022, and it has already evolved into a vibrant habitat and resources for pollinators. As someone who loves native plants but has no space to garden, I am grateful for the time I spend here, digging around the drifts of purple needlegrass, silver bush lupine, phacelia, and yarrow.
